Home Pitch Syrah® 2005

Deep violet color. Aromas of caramelized strawberries, pecan brittle, and creme Anglaise follow through on a round, silky entry to a ripe, juicy medium-to-full body with tangy, tangerine, and green apple notes. Finishes with a long, fruity earth accented fade with supple tannins. An exquisite table wine to pair with veal chops.

Winemaker Scott Harvey aged this wine for almost two years in French Oak, producing a complex, highly structured Syrah in the classic style. The wine has a bright blackberry nose, turning to vanilla bean toastiness with French Oak showing through on the palate, then deftly maneuvering to a finish of rich pecan pie. The winery recommends pairing this with grilled marinated flank steak and rosemary potatoes.
