This tightly wound white wine is an off dry blend as deftly balanced as a Rugby player. Granted, Tight Head White’s range of tropical fruit - with floral hints of roses, cantaloupe, orange blossoms and peaches - are scarce on the Rugby field, but it’s a perennial after-game favorite for fans and players alike on a hot, sunny afternoon.
Blend: 40% Chardonnay, 25% Gewürztraminer, 23% Muscat, 12% Viognier.

Note to Rugby Novices: In rugby, a "tight head" is the #3 prop who supports the hooker during a scrum. The term "tight head" refers to the fact that this player’s head is between the opposition’s hooker and the loosehead prop’s shoulders. It’s all quite simple, eh?
